Brian M. Babb, Partner, Environmental Group
Brian Babb's practice primarily involves transactional matters, regulatory counseling, representation in enforcement and permitting matters, contaminated site litigation, and counsel concerning solid and hazardous waste management, water and air pollution control, environmental policy, compliance and planning. He counsels clients on environmental considerations in real estate transactions and in business acquisitions and divestures and agricultural law. He has extensive experience with brownfields transactions, corporate environmental compliance management programs, CERCLA cost recovery and contribution actions, wetlands, compliance audits, site investigation and remediation, and environmental assessments. Mr. Babb represents clients before local, state and federal environmental agencies and state and federal courts. He formerly served as the Acting Deputy Director, Deputy Chief Counsel, Managing Attorney and Staff Attorney for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (1987-1993) and as a Staff Attorney for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (1986-1987).

Ken Kreider regularly counsels clients in real estate acquisition, development and finance matters, both local and national in scope. He also has extensive experience assisting clients with tenant in common projects and syndications, complex IRC 1031 transactions, and all aspects of real estate taxation. He has experience handling building code and historic preservation code matters, and negotiating agreements and dispositions for rail rights of way. Ken leads the KMK Green Team, a multi-disciplinary group of attorneys focused on sustainable building practices, related incentives, and climate change issues. His practice also encompasses general corporate law and the formation and tax exemption of not-for-profit corporations. Ken is a licensed title insurance agent in Ohio and a frequent lecturer on topics of advanced real property law. He serves as Vice President and Agent for Riverbend Commercial Title Agency, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KMK. Ken was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is certified as a specialist in Business, Commercial and Industrial Real Property Law by the Ohio State Bar Association.

David Meyer’s practice involves all areas of environmental law, including transactional matters, compliance counseling, and litigation pertaining to air pollution control, solid and hazardous waste management, Superfund, wastewater, and storm water discharges and hazardous materials transportation issues. He has experience in defending environmental enforcement actions and challenging actions by state and federal regulatory agencies on behalf of clients. Mr. Meyer also has experience with insurance regulation, including insurance company capitalization and licensing, reinsurance, sales practices, pricing, and claims handling.

Jill Weller is a partner in the Real Estate Group. Her practice includes environmental issues raised in the context of corporate and real estate transactions; voluntary and "Brownfields" cleanups; CERCLA administrative and cost recovery actions; compliance counseling for hazardous waste, wastewater discharge and other environmental regulations; defense of environmental enforcement actions; administrative and judicial review of permits and other agency actions. From 1981 to 1985, Ms. Weller was an attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of General Counsel, in Washington D.C. Prior to joining Keating Muething & Klekamp, Ms. Weller was a partner at Thompson Hine in Cincinnati, Ohio.
